A free community event in Moss Side will bring together history, culture, performances and local organisations on Wednesday 30 September.
An afternoon open to everyone
“Honouring Our Communities: Resilience & Determination” runs from 2pm to 6pm at the West Indian Sports & Social Club, Westwood Street, Moss Side, Manchester M14 4SW.
The event is organised by UNISON Manchester and the UNISON Inspire Black Members Forum. Attendance is open to the public, and visitors do not need to be members of a trade union.
The programme includes speakers, performances and opportunities to learn about Black history and community resilience. Organisations will also host information stalls, and light refreshments are expected to be available.
Booking required
Although admission is free, capacity is limited and advance registration is essential. Residents should check Eventbrite before travelling to confirm that places remain available and review any updated access information.
The gathering offers a space for cultural learning, conversation and connections with community organisations. It should not be described as a formal advice clinic unless individual stallholders explicitly offer that service.
